Seafood Ramyun - Golden Bell Review!

What have I been raving about?! Read below to understand my addiction!

So the first thing we need to understand is the difference between ramen and ramyun - one is Japanese and the other Korean. Japanese ramen is more subtle in terms of its flavor and Korean Ramyun is stronger and generally spicy.

If you google the spellng you'd find Ramyun spelled as Ramyeon and both are correct. Shin Ramyun is a brand of instant noodle by a South Korean food company which is used to create this divine goodness. Korean ramyeon is usually in the form of instant noodles but the Koreans have made it special by adding pork, vegetables, chicken and seafood. Ramyun has its spicy, flavorful twist which makes it something I thoroughly enjoy!

Now I must admit this isn't a particularly healthy meal so try not to indulge too often but Golden Bell does offer many other varieties of healthy food!

I gravitate towards the Seafood Ramyun particularly for two reasons - I love spicy and I love octopus. I can't get enough of it. This combination of Octopus, Mussels, Shrimp, Vegetables and Seasonings provides a crunchy, spicy sensation topped with being best served hot. Can you think of another ambrosia for a comfort meal? Not to mention its not difficult to eat! There are just some foods you spend too much time on, but not this, you'd finish the bowl long before it went cold! If you're not managing with the chopsticks then just simply use a fork instead.

There are many ways to cook Ramyun, you can either have it with beef, chicken or pork. Personally I prefer the seafood because of how well each individual flavor of the shrimp, mussel or octopus compliments the overall taste of the noodle soup. Nothing is over powering the other. I've tried the beef and the chicken and while they are appealing, they don't come close to the seafood. The chicken and beef both have unique tastes, so you tend to get the biting taste of the meat followed by the balsamic taste of the noodles. Not a wonderful combination for my palette.

I can say with assurance that every single time I've consumed this, it has been consistent and delectable without a doubt.

I've never gotten a 'bad' Ramyun. Do you know what makes this experience even more enticing? Golden Bell recently decided to provide take away Ramyun! #Celebrate So now when I have the desire through many nights and rainy evenings for a bowl of spicy Ramyun to take home, I can enjoy it with no pants and a messy hair bun :) Talk about convenience is key!

So next time you're having a rough day or maybe you just crave a cozy meal and some along time, I strongly encourage you to check out Golden Bell in Maraval (I've never been to the other location) and have some down-time with a hot bowl of #scrumptious Seafood Ramyun!

Please, be mindful of what you're allergic too and if you're not sure then don't indulge. Better to be safe than sorry!
